Hi! I’m Christopher, founder of Scallywags Travels. I'm an 'Elder Millennial' born in the “Center of the Universe”, Virginia - a tried and true Sagittarius, a self proclaimed Pirate, and most importantly, a friend. 

As an avid explorer I'm drawn to the thrill of discovering new people, places, and things. I enjoy the beauty of the natural world and continually seek to deepen my connection with it and its inhabitants(mostly the furry and four legged). Whether it was hiking as a kid to marvel at wildlife, or combing beaches in search of the perfect shell, I’ve always felt most alive when surrounded by the wonders of nature. 

Over my many years I’ve been fortunate to travel extensively for both work and play, allowing me to expand my appreciation for diverse people and cultures. I love immersing myself in new cities and landscapes that challenge and inspire me. From snorkeling with turtles in turquoise waters of the Pacific to birdwatching in the lush rainforests of Central America, or joining in cultural celebrations in sun-soaked Caribbean islands, my journeys have deepened my love for this planet and the many ways we can experience its endless beauty. These are the feelings and experiences that I wish to share with you or help you discover on your journey, no matter where it takes you.
